Great Falls

My parents and Chelsey came to visit us last week, and we were so happy to have them here and show them around.  Unfortunately we both had to work while they were here, but we did take one day off to hang out with them.  Of course, it was the day that was rainy and windy, but it was actually good because otherwise they would have been out walking in it.  We decided to go to Mt. Vernon that day because we had never been there and had been wanting to go for awhile.  Mt. Vernon is where George Washington lived.  His house is right on the Potomac river, and it is really quite beautiful.  The wind was ridiculous that day, but luckily the rain held off while we were walking around.  It was very interesting to see how they lived, and to be in George Washington's house.  I love how much history is here, and all of things we are able to see. 
We headed into DC to eat lunch at Good Eats, they have really yummy burgers.  It started pouring right before we got there, but by the time we left it had mostly stopped so we hit some monuments that they had missed.  A few nights later we went to a National's game.  It was a fun game, Washington clinched the division, which is why we got a few fireworks!  We were able to take them to their first MLB game!  On Saturday we headed to Great Falls in the morning before they had to catch their flight.  It was a beautiful day and not too crowded.  We were so glad that they were able to come visit and see what Virginia and DC are all about!!
Now we are off to Utah in just 5 days!! Can't wait to see everyone there and have a fun vacation!!
