We spent last weekend in New York City! Eric had to go for work, he had been going a couple of days a week for the last few weeks, and was able to make it so it was over a weekend this time so that I could come up and hang out with him. I took the bus up on Friday night and got in about 1am. The bus was not bad at all, just a little long. But I had movies to keep me entertained. We stayed in the Crowne Plaza hotel right in Times Square. It was a very busy weekend with the Big East Tournament going on, St. Patrick's Day, and Spring Break.
We decided to go to a session at the Manhattan temple on Saturday afternoon. We were going to go to a morning session, but I saw online that it was a Spanish session. We went in the afternoon instead, and it turned out to be a Mandarin Chinese session! The internet did not mention that! We had to wear the headphones, but it was still a wonderful experience. There were quite a few members that were listening to the session in Spanish, so Eric took the opportunity to listen to it in Spanish as well. I did not, I probably could have understood most of it, but decided to just stick with English! I'm so glad that we went and were able to feel the spirit in the temple. I think it is the only place in the city where you can't hear the hustle and bustle of the cars and people when you are inside.
It was pretty cold the whole weekend, and even snowed on Saturday afternoon, so we wanted to do something that night that would keep us inside. Since we hadn't been to a show yet, we looked them up and decided on Wicked. We really liked it! It was funny, and very well done. I can see why so many people like it! I'm not really a lover of musicals, but I enjoyed this one. I would still like to see Lion King, I have heard it is amazing as well!
We didn't do much on Sunday, just hung out while Eric worked. We did hit up Magnolia Bakery though before I had to leave...they have really good cake, cupcakes and cheesecake. It was delicious! I took the train home so that I could get home a little sooner, it takes about an hour less than the bus. We had a fun weekend and were glad that we could spend some time together during Eric's busy season at work!

So fun! Glad you were able to go.
So jealous you saw Wicked! I would LOVE to see that show, in fact I might be the only one in the world who hasn't seen it! You look beautiful as always, make sure you tell Eric how lucky he is to have you! :)
