Cousins!!

My Grandma Robinson passed away on August 9 and Camden and I, along with Brittney and Lincoln, decided we wanted to be there for the funeral.  So we found the cheapest flights we could and headed on our way.  I knew that the plane rides were not going to be fun, since I had just done it 2 months earlier, but it was worth the pain.  We weren't able to get a direct flight either way.  We had to stop in Phoenix on the way to SLC.  Our flight to Phoenix was nice because we didn't have anyone sitting next to us.  It was a smaller plane and only had 2 seats on each side.  Brittney and I weren't able to sit next to each other, since we both had babies with us.  But she was behind us on the first flight.  I was hoping Camden would sleep most of the flight, since I had to wake him up early to get to the airport, but of course he only slept for about a half hour.  :(  The flight from Phoenix to SLC was packed…and I was stuck in the middle between two guys.  Luckily it wasn't too horrible, Camden thought everything was his…newspapers, drinks, their watches, etc. but I distracted him enough with snacks that he didn't cry much.  And he did fall asleep when we landed…for about 20 mins.  I always love visiting Utah, seeing the mountains and getting out of the humidity for a few days is nice!  The bonus to going was that we got to see Chelsey! She had returned from her mission just a few weeks earlier!!  It was so great to see her and have her meet Camden and Lincoln!
Grandma's funeral was on Thursday, the 14th.  It was a really beautiful day.  Blue skies, sunshine and really warm.  The funeral was very nice.  My aunt, 3 cousins and Chelsey spoke.  They all did wonderful and helped bring back memories of my Grandma, some that I had forgotten!  My Grandma was a very private person and didn't share a lot about herself, so it was fun to hear things about her that I didn't know before.  All of my Grandma's grandkids made it to the funeral and I thought that was really sweet.  It was great seeing cousins, aunts, and uncles that I hadn't seen in a long time.  I am so grateful that I was able to see my Grandma one last time when I visited in June.  Even though she had no idea who I was, I'm glad that I took the time to go visit her and that she could meet and hold Camden.  I'm grateful to know that families are forever and we will see her again!
We spent the next day getting a little shopping in and having a picnic in the park.  It was just so fun to spend time with our family, especially with all of my sisters.  It's rare now when we all get to be together, and I loved every minute!  We left on Saturday, this time in the afternoon, right during nap time.  We had a full flight again, but I was in the aisle.  It was a little rough for Camden, especially since we were delayed leaving, but he eventually fell asleep and slept for the rest of the flight to Dallas! Thankfully the flight from Dalls to San Antonio is super quick, because at that point we were ready to be home!  All in all, it was great to go, but I don't think I want to fly anywhere again anytime soon…at least until Camden can be distracted by watching movies! :)
