Camden is 2!

Morning hair is my favorite! :)

Our Camden is 2 years old!  He got to celebrate twice, on his birthday, and then a couple of days later for his party.  His birthday was on a Sunday this year, so we got him up before church...yes, church is at 11am, and yes, we had to wake him up!  He sleeps in most days, which is really nice, but sometimes I have to wake him up so that he will get a nap later.  As soon as he saw the presents he went over and grabbed them and started to open them.  I didn't know if he would remember what to do, but he definitely did!  He was so excited for all of his gifts, and loves playing with all of them.  He got soccer goals, paw patrol car and a couple of puzzles, paw patrol rug to play with his cars on, 2 paw patrol books, money and a the chase paw patrol stuffed dog.  Thank you to everyone that thought of him, we really appreciate it!  If you couldn't tell, he loves paw patrol!  We didn't do a lot on his birthday, just church, face timed G&G Clark, and played with his new stuff!  I made him chocolate chip cookies too.
Since paw patrol is currently his favorite show, we had to do it for his party.  We had hot dogs, pup-peroni rolls, salad, fruit, chips and of course cake!  I also put out little candy bones and whoppers as dog food!  Good thing we have pinterest, otherwise it wouldn't have been as cute!  We invited all of his cousins that live here and G&G Teachout were here visiting as well.  So it was a lot of fun and are so thankful to live by so much family now.  Camden had so much fun and loved all of the gifts he got.  He got a tee ball stand, Ryder from paw patrol and some shapes that he can make designs with.  He didn't really know what to do when everyone sang to him, and he wouldn't blow out the candle, but I think that he loved it!  He ate cake this year, mostly the frosting, but also got some oreos.  He had lots of fun and I would say it was a success!
Camden is our sometimes sweet, but always stubborn boy.  He knows what he wants, but most of the time we don't.  He still isn't talking very much.  I don't feel like his vocabulary has expanded much in the past few months, so hopefully it will start to happen soon.  It gets pretty frustrating when he wants something, but we don't know what and he just cries.  He points at things and will now say no to things, but if he wants something he doesn't say yes, so sometimes it is very hard to know if he really wants it.  Sometimes I think Sienna is going to start talking before him. :)  He knows where his eyes, nose, mouth, ears, tummy, toes, arms, legs and fingers are.  He will point to them, and then want to point to them on me as well.  He loves to play with his paw patrol stuff, cars, blocks and of course all of his different balls.  He loves to get all of his different footballs and throw them to us.  He loves dogs, and has to take his stuffed dogs in the car when we go anywhere and sleeps with them.  He loves to be outside and has to take balls out with him.  He always throws with his left arm, but will eat with right or left.  He switches off, so I'm not sure what he is.  He does pretty well with eating with a spoon and fork.   Most times he just eats with his hands still.  Is still a really messy eater and I take off his clothes to eat.  He know how to take off his shoes and clothes.  Likes to watch shows and movies.  Paw patrol is his favorite, but he is entertained by most shows on Disney Jr and Nick Jr.  He does pretty well watching movies, but still doesn't watch the whole thing.
He loves his sister, and always makes sure she is coming with us or doing what we are doing.  He will go sit by her when she is crying and give her his dogs and blanket and whatever other toys he can pile on her until I tell him to stop.  It is really sweet and I hope that he always looks out for her as they grow up.  His dad is still his favorite person, but he gives me good hugs in the morning when I get him up and will kiss me goodnight.  I love that I get to spend all day with him, even when he's difficult and I count down the minutes to nap or bed time.  He makes life fun and I love watching him learn new things and be so excited for life.  He gives us so much joy and we love him so much!  Happy Birthday my little buddy!
