6 Months

December 4, 2015

6 Months Stats:

Weight:  12 lbs 11oz
Height:  26"  (60%)
Head:  16.5"  (30%)

Our girl is 6 months old already!  It's crazy that she is already half way to one.  When we went to the Dr. she didn't gain any weight from her 4 month appointment.  She grew an inch and a half and her head, a half an inch.  I thought the Dr. was going to tell me that I had to switch her to formula, but he said that I can start feeding her cereal and veggies/fruit twice a day so she can get more calories.  I have also been working on drinking more water and eating better so that I have a better supply for her.  We have to go back in a month to get a booster for her flu shot and weight check, so hopefully she will get bigger!  I started cereal with her on her 6 month birthday.  She loved it! Since then she has had oatmeal, sweet potatoes, squash, bananas, peaches and green beans.  She really loves all of them so far.  She hasn't spit any out or given a disgusted look at all.
She is a happy baby, as long as mom is holding her.  She is very attached to mom and doesn't do well if anyone else tries to hold her and she knows where I am.  If I leave the room she usually does better.  It gets a little exhausting for me.  She rolls from her back to belly all the time, and can roll belly to back but doesn't do it very often.  She sleeps on her belly now.  She will grab anything and everything and put it in her mouth.  She's not sitting up by herself yet, but she is getting stronger and I think she will in the next month.  No teeth yet, I don't even feel anything trying to come through.  She has figured out how to pull her headbands down and eat them, but for the most part she will keep them on all day.  She likes watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on tv.  She loves Camden and is still warming up to daddy.  :)  She does really good for Eric when I am not around, but as soon as she sees me, it's over and will cry until I get her.  Silly girl!
She is sleeping better through the night, only occasionally she will wake up and I have to go feed her.  Giving her solids really helped.  Naps are usually good, but we still have bad days where she only sleeps for like a half hour.  :/  She is very smiley and laughs a lot easier now.  She is very ticklish, and I love hearing her giggles!  She loves bath time and story time before bed.  She is a sweet little baby girl and we love her to pieces!  So thankful that she is a part of our family!
