We spent our Christmas Eve with the Teachout side. We went over to Jackie and Christian's house for lunch and then played all afternoon. They always have tamales, per tradition, and we had lots of other yummy sides and dessert as well. It was a beautiful sunny day and the kids had a blast playing outside. It was nice to get together early, because we were able to come home, put out our cookies and milk for santa, and the kids went to bed by 7:30pm@ We enjoyed our quiet Christmas Eve night at home!
We were up bright and early to open our Christmas gifts, but only because we had to make it to church by 9am! Camden loved opening all of his gifts and after opening a couple and not finding a sword, he was getting a little worried that he didn't get one. When he finally got it he was so happy! It was definitely his favorite gift. He loved opening the presents and tried to open all of Sienna's as well. He got his ninja turtle sword, a leappad learning tablet, Tracker from Paw Patrol, some legos, a walking dog, bumblebee transformer and Mel from The Secret Life of Pets. Sienna loved opening her gifts, when Camden would let her! She got a rolling skating Minnie, shopping cart with food and dishes, Palace Pet figurines, Mickey and Minnie Figurines, lemonade set that is kinda like a tea set, toy vacuum and Gidget from The Secret life of Pets. They had a great Christmas!
Santa ate almost all of our cookies! ;)
These delicious looking cinnamon rolls were a big flop! I tried a new recipe to make overnight ones, and thought they were going to be great, but they turned out dry and not enough cinnamon in the middle. So disappointing!!
It is seriously impossible to get a picture of them together...I don't even care if they are smiling, if the would just stand by each other! Haha
We had brunch after church at the Kinnison's. We had yummy breakfast sandwiches, fruit and apple cake...good thing there was lots of yummy food, since my cinnamon rolls didn't work out!
We spent Christmas night with the Clark's! We had our traditional Christmas dinner: ham, potatoes, green beans, rolls, fruit, chips and salsa, and desserts! It was really yummy. I must have not taken any other pictures with them, but we played Christmas bingo and loved hanging out with them!
We spent our New Year's Eve with the Teachout side. Christian and Jackie always do sparklers and fireworks. We also had yummy food, but the highlight of the night was the fireworks! Camden loved the sparklers and throwing the little poppers. He also loves the big ones and always wants more. Sienna was not a fan of any of them again this year, but I'm sure that will change as she gets older! Here's to a new year and new adventures with these kiddos!
