Everly Jade

My 3 babies!

These were a few of the pics that Angie took in the hospital.  I will post more when I get them back from her!  Sienna loved holding Everly...and side note, she is shirtless because she spilled water on it and refused to put it back on. :/

Our little sweetheart, Everly, is here!  I was scheduled to be induced on Thursday, the 8th.  My mom came a few days before so that she could stay with Camden and Sienna when we had Everly.  I am so thankful that she came.  She helped out so much!  Camden and Sienna loved having her here, and it just gave me peace knowing that they were in good hands and being taken care of.  We had to be to the hospital by 6:30am, but it was fairly quiet, only one other person was being induced then.  I had to fill out some paperwork and then we had to wait about 25 mins before we were taken to the labor and delivery room.  Once we got in, I had to get the antibiotic for strep b, because I had tested positive for it, and they wanted to make sure I had a couple of doses before she was born.  They also started the pitocin.
I thought that it was going to go faster than it actually did, but I was only dilated to a 2 when I got there.  Initially the pitocin was working too fast, so they had to slow it down to keep the baby's heart rate normal.  They came in and had me switch what side I was laying on like every hour.  My Dr. broke my water about noon, and I got my epidural shortly after that.   I was hoping to be ready to go by 3pm, but it took a little longer and by 5pm I was at a 10 and ready to push.  I only had to push for about 20 mins, and then she was here!  It was exhausting and exciting all at the same time!  I was so grateful that she was healthy and everything went smoothly.
Everly was very mellow when she was born, she didn't even really cry.  After they cleaned her up a little bit we did the skin to skin and then I fed her.  She latched on right away and since then has been a champ at nursing!  We had a lot of visitors that night.  Angie brought my mom, Camden, Sienna, and G&G Teachout.  They were able to come see Everly in the labor and delivery room first and then went with us up to my recovery room as well.  Sienna LOVED holding Everly.  She didn't want to let her go!  Camden wasn't too interested in holding her or really being anywhere near me.  It's pretty much what I expected from both of them.  Jackie also came and saw Everly when we were in my room.  Angie took lots of pictures for us, and I'm so glad that she was able to come and do that for us!  We are always so bad at taking pics in the hospital, so it's nice to have someone else do them.
I had to stay in the hospital for 2 night, since I was positive with strep b, but Eric brought my mom, Camden and Sienna so that it wouldn't be too boring the next day.  We got out pretty fast on Saturday morning and it is so nice to be home!  Everly was very mellow and sleepy while in the hospital.  She didn't cry very much and was just a little sweetie!  We love little Everly and are so happy she is here!
