I don't know how it has happened, but she is already 9 months old! She was just my tiny little newborn, it's gone so fast! 😢 I do love all of the new stages and things that she learns though, so I guess we will let her grow up. She is still on the smaller side, but growing none the less! She has really decided that she likes food, real food more than baby food. She eats 3 times a day, and nurses about 5 times a day. She likes the fruit and veggie pouches, puffs, crackers, cheerios, nutrigrain bars, bread, potatoes, and banana bread. She is starting to like water as well. She will drink out of the sippy cup if I hold it for her. She also still won't pick up food and put it in her mouth. She's a little diva and thinks we need to do it for her apparently. I know she is capable of doing it, I have seen her put other things in her mouth, but so far, no. So let's hope she figures it out in the next month!
She is still a little lazy bum. She does not like laying on her belly at all, so she is not motivated to start crawling. Which is ok with me if she just skips it completely and goes to walking. She still doesn't roll around either. I don't know. She's weird. Haha! I have heard of babies who scoot around on their bums instead of crawling, so maybe she will pick that up at some point. She is pretty content with just sitting.
She is a horrible teether. Cries, doesn't want to eat, wakes up at night, and is clingy. Takes me back to the days of Camden. She has 2 bottom teeth though, so at least it's not all for nothing! She hasn't been the greatest napper of late either. She takes two naps, but they have gotten shorter and sometimes she won't even take the afternoon one. I put her in bed, but she just plays for awhile, then cries to get out. So she gets to go to bed most nights at 7:30pm. She will sleep until about 5-6am, I feed her, then put her back down until 7-8am. Blah...it's killing me, I hate that she doesn't just sleep until 7am. She is STILL in our room, cause I just don't know where to put her, but I've decided to just stick her in with Sienna and they will just have to get used to each other. It will happen sometime this month.
She is quite the little teaser. If her brother or sister get close enough to her, she loves to grab their clothes and then will just start laughing. She thinks it is hilarious, like she belly laughs about it. Haha! They don't think it is quite as funny, and sometimes get mad at her, but I have to remind them that she is just a baby! She does love them though, and they always get the best laughs out of her.
She's a momma girl, but will take daddy as well. She is quite attached, and sometimes when she cries it sounds like she is saying mom. Even the Dr. noticed! So I guess we have her first word? She does babble quite a bit during the day, and definitely lets us know when she doesn't like something.
We love this baby girl so much, and are so grateful that she is in our family!
