Everly is One!

 One Year Stats:

Weight:  16 lbs 7 oz  (5%)

We have a one year old!  It was a crazy fast year, I can't believe we are already here!  Time is zooming by with these kiddos!  Everly got to open her presents first thing in the morning.  She didn't know quite what to do, but of course brother and sister were right there to help her!  We gave her a cute little people house, and a stroller for her baby doll.  She got a cute picnic basket with stuff inside from Clarks, Rowley's and Hills.  G&G Clark got her some cute unicorn pjs (that she was wearing) and minnie mouse bath toys!
After opening her presents we went to our pool.  There was a going away party for a cute family in our ward who are moving, so it was perfect to go spend the morning at the pool with our friends for her birthday!

Everly is a sweet baby, but mostly only to her mommy!  She definitely is a momma's girl, but recently she gets excited when daddy gets home!  She always has a smile for Sienna and loves when Camden and Sienna give her attention.  She doesn't really like anyone else.  She has a mean scowl that she will give anyone that tries to talk to her.  She's a stinker!  She also doesn't want to do things like anyone else.  She finally started crawling about 4 days before she turned one!  I'm so glad that she is finally moving, even though crawling is not my favorite phase.    Her crawling is pretty funny, she gets up on one knee, but leaves the other one down, like she is dragging her leg along.  Almost like it is injured, but it's not.  Haha!  She goes on her knees quite a bit, and tries to stand, but hasn't got there yet.  I think once she gets the confidence, she will get it pretty quickly.  Although, the funny thing is, if she's laying on her back, she won't flip over or really do anything to go anywhere.  Haha.  I don't know why, I know she can do it.  She just doesn't.  

She still loves having baskets of toys, but now that she can move, she mostly roams around and looks for other things to get into.  She really hasn't got into anything yet though.  She enjoys exploring around.

She loves her blankets, and will sometimes suck on it for a minute, but not really long.  She likes to put it over her head or right in her face.  She loves to play peek-a-boo with it as well.  She is a a much better sleeper now.  She will sleep through the night, but wakes up around 6:45-7am. Sometimes she will sleep in a little longer, but not often enough for me.  She takes 2 naps a day when we are able to. She is not a great eater.  She is pretty picky and I still can't get her to eat real fruit and veggies.  She loves bread, crackers, pancakes, waffles, pizza, fruit/veggie pouches, yogurt pouches, and freeze dried snacks that are fruit and veggies.  She will eat potatoes as well.  Basically she likes carbs.  She won't eat cheese very often, and doesn't like cottage cheese so far.  She does like chicken nuggets.  Some days it is a challenge to find something for her to eat that she didn't just eat at lunch or breakfast!  I have tried milk a couple of times, and she didn't love it, but she didn't hate it either.  So I need to be better about giving it to her.  She loves water and will crawl around looking for her water, when she finds it, if it is on the counter or table, she will just start screaming for it.

She has 4 teeth on top and 4 on bottom.  I haven't noticed any more coming, but there could be something.  She has been pretty happy lately, so not sure if anything is coming yet.  She is not a good teether.  When she is teething, we all know it!  She definitely has her own personality and wants to do things the way that she wants to do them.  She likes to be loud, and babbles a lot of the day.  She doesn't really say a lot that we understand.  Mostly just momma, dadda and ball.  

We are so grateful that she is in our family, she may not like other people, but she's a sweetheart and we love her so much!  Happy Birthday, baby girl!
