I can't believe this boy is already five years old!! He had the best Pokemon birthday! He kept changing his mind between a Pokemon or Mario birthday, but ultimately decided on Pokemon. He is really in to it, and I'm not sure how it even happened! Usually kids don't even know about it until Kindergarten, I guess Camden wanted a head start on everyone! He has grown up so much this past year. He did really well at the Dr. Did the eye and hearing test like a champ and only complained a little when he got his flu shot! (I didn't make him go to the Dr. on his birthday, it was a couple of days later.)
He didn't have school on his birthday, so he was able to get up and open all of his presents first thing! He was pretty excited for all of his presents. He got his favorite character stuffed animal from the Mario video games, Bones! He has been talking about it forever, and now finally has it! He also got Charmander, one of the Pokemons. We got him some Kinetic Sand, a lego Pokemon set, a hammer bro character guy, and a blow up bag that he can punch. He got a Pokemon blanket, pillow, and candy from G&G Clark, lego Pokemon set from Rowley's, target gift cards from AZ Clarks and Hills, Money from G&G Teachout and UT Clarks. He also got a Pokemon belt with poke balls that clip on it from the Teachouts, and the mask and sword of Raph of TMNT. Basically he got a lot of Pokemon stuff, and he loved it! He bought Super Smash Bros to play on the wii and a stuffed Litton (Pokemon character) with his birthday money! Thank you all so much!
We went to Chuck E Cheese in the afternoon, and took one of his best buddies, Dash with us. Jackie, Kinsley, and Paxton came as well. They all had so much playing all the games there. Later that night we had cake with our family here. It was a fun day for him and he got very spoiled!
Camden is such a fun kid. He loves to play video games, play outside, play soccer, and throw footballs and baseballs around with dad. He has a good imagination, and does pretend play really well. He will sit and play with his guys for quite awhile. He loves to color, paint, play with play-doh, basically any art project! He really likes school, and is doing well. He loves learning about numbers and letters. We worked really hard over the summer, and he now knows all of the letters! We are working on writing them now. He likes to be read to, but doesn't really look at books otherwise.
He loves watching shows and movies. Some of his favorites right now are Pokemon, Paw Patrol, Duck Tales, Hey Dugee, Puppy Dog Pals, and TMNT. He likes to joke around with me, tells me something that isn't true, but then says, I'm just kidding! He likes to tease his sisters as well, but it usually ends with fighting and screaming and crying. He gets along with his sisters for the most part, but like any siblings, they definitely fight a lot! He has been into trying new foods lately as well. He has discovered he likes more things than he thought, especially more vegetables!
We are so grateful for Camden and that he is part of our family. We can't imagine our lives without all of his silliness! It has been so fun to see him learn and grow these last five years, and I can't wait to see what the future has for him. We love you, Camden!!
