Camden's Stats:
Height: 49" (70%)
Weight: 50.6 lbs (45%)
BMI: 14.8 (12%)
Blogger really messed up the order of these pictures, so they are all over the place, but Camden had such a fun day/weekend! His birthday was on a Sunday, so on Saturday we decided to go bowling with cousins and then we played wiffle ball at the school field. You had to jump the fence to play, or fit underneath, so I opted to watch from afar. They all had a ton of fun though and we ended with dinner at Las Palapas. He opened his presents in the morning, and then we had cake in the evening with all our family here. He is really into the Lego Mario, so he got a bunch of sets to put together. He also got a couple of Nintendo switch games that he has been wanting; Animal Crossing and Super Smash Bros. He was really excited for all of his presents. Thank you to everyone that sent him something, we appreciate it!
Some things that Camden likes right now are: Lego Mario, Minecraft, Pokemon and anything to do with the Nintendo Switch. He really loves to watch people play video games on youtube...which I don't love, but he enjoys it. He also is really loving Baseball. We started going to practice with Kole and four other boys twice a week so that he can learn some skills. It is going really well and he enjoys it! I love it because it gets him off the video games and TV! He also loves to play basketball and wants to play on a team when they start in January. Camden would say that he doesn't like soccer, but he always has a ton of fun when he is out there playing with his team. He is really good at it when he wants to. Haha. He has a lot of skills, but sometimes he just doesn't try as hard. It is fun to see him learn and grow and his first response when people ask him what he likes to do, is to play sports!
He doesn't love drawing as much anymore, but he is really good at it. It is one of his talents. He can just look at things and then draw them and they look really good. He doesn't appreciate it now, but I hope that he will in the future!
Camden is in first grade, and doing well in school. I had a parent/teacher conference and his teacher said that she wasn't sure how Camden would do in class, just because he didn't like to participate during zooms and would sit really far back so you couldn't see him well, but she was pleasantly surprised when they started in person learning. She said that he is doing really great, and is a joy to have in class! He really thrives being in class and learning that way. Zoom just wasn't doing it for us!
It is so fun to see all the things that Camden is learning, and to watch him grow up. He is starting to question things more, like if the tooth fairy and Santa are real...and it's hard because I want him to stay little and innocent. But I know that he has to grow up, and I'm just grateful that I get to guide him and help him along the way. I am grateful that he made me a mom, and that I am his mom! He loves to tease his sisters...a lot...but he loves them and I really love the times when they all get along! It's fun to watch their friendship grow as siblings.
We love Camden so much and are so grateful that he is in our family. Happy 7th Birthday, buddy!!
