Cookie Dough Cupcakes

I found this recipe on pinterest and just had to try it out.  Cupcake AND cookie dough with frosting...I'm in!  The first attempt didn't work out so well, but that's because I didn't read the instructions correctly.  Oops!  Here's what they are supposed to look like:

 

Here's attempt #1:

I made the cookie dough too big...they don't look very pretty, but they were still delicious!  So I cut the cookies in half and they turned out!

The frosting in her recipe did not work out for me, so I made a classic chocolate frosting, and I think it was even better than what she did.  I also did some with cool whip and that was yummy as well!

Here's a pic of the inside.  They were so good that we had to give away most of them so that we wouldn't eat them all!  So just make sure to follow the instructions and they work out perfectly!  I love it when I try new recipes and they work out!
