Update

Happy 1 year to us!

I guess it's time for an update!  January was actually pretty eventful.  We started off the month with an update to our apartment, it was kind of a pain while it was getting done, but I think it was worth it!  It only took a week to do, which was great.  We got new cabinets, appliances, counter tops, sink, floors (not new carpet though) in the kitchen and bathroom and a fresh coat of paint in a new tan color throughout the apartment.  They updated all of the light fixtures and painted all of the doors a dark brown as well.  So it looks 100 times better now and modern.  If only they could have removed the popcorn ceiling.....we are happy with the results though!

We celebrated my birthday by going to dinner at The Cheesecake Factory!  It was delicious as always.  It wasn't too exciting of a day, I had to work all day and when we got back from dinner we had to move all of our furniture because that was the week we got our apartment updated.  But it was still good, and it ended with cheesecake...yum!

On the 27th we celebrated our 1st Anniversary!  It's crazy how fast time flies when you are having fun.  Our anniversary was on a Sunday so we went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse the night before.  We had Stake Conference that week, so we had a break from teaching our crazy primary class.  That was a nice little gift!

We also had our first snow storm in January....I know, I know, all of you in Utah feel so bad for us, but people really don't know how to drive in a little snow here!  We really didn't get very much and it all melted in the next few days, but we didn't like it or the cold it brought!  The weather is crazy here, we had snow and freezing temps, and then about 4 days later it was 60-70!  That felt really nice, but now we are back to the cold and a little snow, we are hoping we won't get much more.  We are looking forward to Spring and warmer weather!
