North Padre

May 23-24, 2014

Check out all of that seaweed!

The babies were loving the pool and their tubes!

This was a cool surf shop that we went to by our hotel.

This pier is supposed to be the longest one in Texas.  It cost $2 per person, so we decided it wasn't really worth it.  It didn't look that long.  ;)

We spent part of our Memorial Day weekend in North Padre.  We went with Gunnar, Brittney and kids.  We left Friday afternoon and stayed at a hotel on the beach that night.  The hotel had beach access, and a pool.  So we took advantage of that right when we got there.  We played on the beach and in the ocean and then jumped in the pool afterwards to get all of the sand off!  As you can see from the pictures, there was a lot of seaweed on the shore.  Unfortunately they didn't clear it off, so you had to walk on it to get in the ocean.  It didn't look too appealing to me, so I didn't even go in the water.  Eric took Camden in, but he wasn't the biggest fan of it.  Eric had fun playing in the ocean with Gunnar and the kids.  Brittney and I stayed with the babies. :)
We spent Saturday at Malaquite beach.  It was a really pretty day, blue skies and all.  But it was super windy!!  We still had fun, but the wind got old after awhile, and there was an abundance of seaweed there as well!  It was a lot of fun to get away and have some fun at the beach.  We didn't get a picture of us all together at the beach, but we plan on going back soon!
