1 Year!

First Bite, maybe he likes it...

Not so sure...

Nope, definitely doesn't want it!

You want animal cookies instead?  Ok, it is YOUR birthday!

12 Month Stats:
Weight:  19.85 lbs (9%)
Height:  29.75" (50%)
Head:  18" (26%)

Our baby boy is 1!  I can't believe it.  He is such a fun, crazy little boy.  We had his party on his birthday, and had a football theme, because what else are you going to do during the fall?!  Camden didn't really care too much, he was pretty excited when he saw the presents on the couch though.  He wanted to open them right away.  His cousins came over and we had pizza, salad and cupcakes for the birthday boy.  As you can see, he didn't really care for the cupcake.  He didn't really care to eat much of anything to be fair though.  We opened presents and he was so excited to see each one, it was so cute!  The ride on airplane was a big hit, he loved the sounds it makes and the lights.  He also received Mega Blocks, soccer ball, football, toy trucks, bubble guppie toys (his favorite show), a stacking turtle, a cute little under armor outfit, and a few more cars.  He was getting tired of the toys that we had, so this was great.  Thank you everyone!  We sang Happy Birthday to him and he had the funniest look on his face, just this little smile like he knew it was for him!  I think he had a fun day!
He has started to take steps, but still not completely walking yet.  Now, couple of weeks later, he is walking around everywhere and prefers it to crawling!  Still falls down, and is a little clumsy.  He doesn't really pay attention to things on the ground.  Likes to go up the stairs whenever he feels like it, I really need to get a gate, because he still doesn't know how to go down them.  We have a lot of stairs too, so it would be quite a fall!  Has become a slightly more picky eater, and likes to hold a fork or spoon when eating.  He usually only wants things that he can feed himself, so it makes it more challenging to find things for him.  He loves chicken nuggets, string cheese, crackers, cereal, eggos, cookies, and he will eat vegetables and fruits.  He hasn't been so into cottage cheese and yogurt, rice or pasta dinners because he can't feed those to himself.  He loves to drink water and juice, and sort of likes milk, but really likes it when it is chocolate milk!  At this point I am ok with that, because he is a skinny guy and needs the extra fat!  Will give high five, wave bye, and I am still working on getting him to clap.  I'm pretty sure he knows how to do it, he's just stubborn and wants to do it on his own time.  He is completely done with nursing!  Yay!  It actually ended a couple of weeks after his birthday, but we are happy to be done!  Is really great about taking his nap and going to bed.  I just lay him down, tell him I love him and to go to sleep.  He almost always does, it is really nice.  He still loves to hit and throw things, but can be super sweet and come lay his head down on you and cuddle.  Loves his soft blankets and animals.  Takes his binkie, but isn't super attached to it.  Is still pretty attached to mom, especially when its just us home, he follows me around and has to be wherever I am.  Hopefully he will get over that soon!  He is such a fun boy and we love him so much!
