Camden

I forgot to post some of the pictures of Camden from back in November when we got our family pics, but I wanted to write down some things about him at this age, so it works.   Mr. Camden, he is a difficult toddler.  He is almost 2 1/2.  He is very stubborn and irrational, as are most toddlers, and wants to do only what he wants.  He is a horrible teether.  He gets very aggressive, mean, and hard to handle.   He has bitten a few different people, Eric and myself included.  Luckily, he has not bitten Sienna, but some of his cousins have not been so fortunate.  

He is still not saying a whole lot of things that I understand, but he is saying more.  He says more phrases like, I play, Where dad go, where Sienna go, I want that, what's that and probably other ones I can't think of right now. He will say yes or no if he wants something.  He still points to things a lot to try to communicate what he wants.  

He loves watching shows on the iPad or TV.  His current favorites are: Big Hero 6, Minions or Despicable Me.  Mickey Mouse clubhouse, Paw Patrol, and Mutt & Stuff are also still favorites.  He is really into puzzles, and has got pretty good at finding which pieces go together.  He also likes playing with his blocks, cars, balls, buzz, and anything Sienna has.  He loves to go outside, but will only play with toys for about 2 mins and then he is on to something else.  So it is a little frustrating to go out with him if we aren't going to the park.  He loves jumping on the trampoline at his cousins house.  Our next door neighbors have one that he can see and he always says, go play!  Looks like we know what our next purchase will be!  He loves dogs.  He still has 3 stuffed dogs, and is pretty much obsessed with them.  He loves real dogs too, he never gets afraid when they bark or come by him.  

He loves to be tickled!  He loves to be silly and have us say Roar and play with him.  He can really be sweet and fun and for the most part he loves his little sister.  He loves Daddy, and wants to be wherever he is when he's home.  

When he's not teething he is a good eater, but when he is, is it hard to get him to eat anything.  His favorites right now are Nutella sandwiches, plain potato chips, m&ms, cottage cheese, ego waffles, tortillas, and bananas.  Every once and a while I can get him to eat some peas or broccoli, but he usually won't eat any vegetables.  He doesn't do much better with fruit, he will eat bananas, sometimes apples, and raisins.  He doesn't like candy, only chocolate ones.

He is a little character, sometimes pretty ridiculous, but I have to remind myself to laugh in the moment, because he's only going to be little for so long.  I'm going to miss the days when he frustrated me because he couldn't or wouldn't talk, or didn't want to hurry up, or eat his food, or go to bed.  It goes by so quickly that sometimes I just want to slow time down so that he can stay little just a little bit longer.  I'm so excited for him to grow and learn and experience all that life has for him.  He is so fun, and full of life and I am so lucky to be his momma!  We are blessed to have him in our family and love him oh so much!
