Everly loved Lexi. She always had big smiles and laughs for her! ππ

Our drive to Arizona was a little more eventful than I would have liked. It started out good, we left at about 3:30am, which was only a half hour off our target time of 3am. The kids were really good, they didn't fall back asleep right away, but they were entertained with a few movies before falling asleep. Of course, they waited until the sun was starting to come up to fall asleep. Everly did amazing on the trip. She pretty much just slept most of the time. She hardly complained at all. She was a trooper! About 5 hours in, Sienna threw up. She had thrown up once each day for the three days leading up to our trip. We figured she must have had a stomach bug because she never ran a fever and it didn't spread to anyone else. We were hoping she wouldn't throw up in the car...but unfortunately it happened. :( Luckily it only really got all over her and her car seat. Is that really lucky though? Haha...no one ever wants to clean that up! Good thing I keep clorox wipes in the car! And she didn't have any other issues!
We stopped in Fort Stockton for breakfast at McDonald's, then kept going on our way. Our car started having issues after breakfast, which we still aren't for sure what is wrong with it. It would sputter at times and literally it would always happen when we were in the middle of nowhere. So of course I was stressed the whole time, worried we were going to break down with no city for miles! It happened randomly our whole trip, but we just kept filling up our gas at half way and it seemed to help.
Lunch was spent in El Paso. It is a bigger city than I thought, and is right on the border of Mexico. You can see the fence that divides us. Our drive through New Mexico was pretty uneventful, except for the unexpected potty break for Camden in a city right after the prison, where they have signs saying don't pick up hitchhikers. π I guess when you gotta go, you gotta go! Camden also colored for about 3-4 hours straight! He colored the entire Mickey and the Roadster Racers book that I had got him.
We made it to Tucson for dinner, and then only had 2 1/2 hours left! We were all so ready to be out of the car, but I was amazed at how well our kids did. They didn't cry really at all, took naps, colored, played on the iPad, leap pad, and watched movies. For being a very long drive, they were really good! We were so happy to pull up to the Clark's house around 7pm! And the hot tub that night was just what we needed!
The next day Camden woke up with traveler's diarrhea...it was pretty horrible. I felt so bad for him, he couldn't control it and had to wear a diaper. Which he was so embarrassed of, but what else could we do? We did get to jump in the pool and hot tub that day. My kids love being in the water swimming! That night Eric and I went out with Brittney and Gunnar to Cafe Rio for dinner and left the girls in charge of the kids. Minus Everly, who got to join us. We miss having Lexi and Kaci around us to watch and play with our kids.
