We didn't do much to ring in the new year. We were invited to watch fireworks, but it was cold and Sienna still isn't a fan of them, so we passed. We went to dinner at Longhorn Cafe and then got some donuts. We played a few games and then called it a night! The kids don't understand what it is, so we don't make it a big deal. We are pretty boring! Ha!
I think this is the cutest picture of these two, and I am so sad that it ended up blurry! But they really love each other and Everly will often go up to Sienna and just want to hug her...sometimes for longer than Sienna really wants to! Haha!
Caught this girl falling asleep while eating lunch! But then she perked up and gave me a smile.
Birthday time! My birthday was on a Monday this year, not the most exciting day of the week, but Eric actually took the day off so it was fun! We went to dinner and shopping, just the two of us, on the Saturday before. Gma & Gpa Teachout were nice enough to come over and watch the kiddos. On my actual birthday we went to Brunch at Magnolia Pancake Haus. Camden had school, so it was just the girls and Eric. It was really yummy. Sienna then made sure that we got some balloons, and cupcakes! Eric got me a new hat, I had been saying that I wanted one. And the kids made me cards. So sweet!
Sienna working hard at school!
Falling asleep on the floor, when you are supposed to be in bed, but keep coming out of your room.
January was a hard month for Sienna and dropping her off for school. She started having some anxiety when I would drop her off and had to give me lots of hugs, high fives, pounds and reassurances that I was coming back. Then when I would leave she could scream and cry. Her teacher is so sweet though and would send me pics of her, saying that she was totally fine and would only cry for a few minutes. She seemed to do better when Cheryl, the mom we carpool with, dropped her off, but she still was having a hard time. She got better as the month went by, so we are hoping it is just a phase! It's crazy because from the first day of school she never had any problems!
Napping on the couch after school and not feeling too hot! Ended up with a fever for the next couple of days.
Doing a fun science experiment at school!
A fun rocket activity that Camden did at school.
These two love puzzles. After they put them together, they asked me to take a picture of them with it! Haha!
