The 4th of July was a little different this year, due to stupid covid. It really is trying to ruin everything! Texas started having an uptick on cases right before the 4th, so they strongly discouraged people getting together for the 4th. I think gatherings were limited to 10 people. So we didn't get to celebrate like normal. We did get to go to the fireworks at Six Flags the night before though! My kids are not a fan of how loud the fireworks are, so we let them use our car headphones. I think it was the first time that Sienna kind of liked watching them! They also all loved the glow bracelets.
Had to use our tripod to get our pic! Surprisingly, this was the first picture and it was the best! The 4th of July is one of my favorites, probably because I get to make everyone wear red, white, and blue!
We went swimming in the morning and then Longhorn cafe for dinner.
Then we had to get some patriotic donuts from Krispy Kreme!
I made some cookies that we took to Eric's parents.
We went over to Eric's parents to visit with them outside after dinner. It was really hot, but the kids played a little baseball! Despite not being able to get together with all our cousins, we still had a fun day! Grateful to live in this country, even though it is not the best of times right now. We are still so blessed and I know that better days are ahead!
