August 2020

We made it to Boerne Lake again!  We went with Angie and kids/friends again, and it was still just as much this time!  Really my kids would stay all day and then want to go back again the next day.  They are just water babies!  Of course, with this year being the way that it has, we have had many, many pool days and lake days and they are here for it!  Also, Everly couldn't even make it to bedtime, zonked out on the couch watching a show.  :)

Surprisingly, we had the pool to ourselves most mornings in August!  I think most people get sick of it by then, but it's still hotter than ever and my kids want to go everyday!  We were usually there at least 3 times a week!

I don't even know what this is from, but I love sweet little sleeping babes!

My girls! :)

We had to start the dreaded potty training in August!  Everly starts preschool in September and has to be potty trained, so here we go!  I really hate potty training.  The first day is always the worst.  They always just pee themselves all day, and Everly was no exception!  We would try to make it to the potty, but ended up with lots of accidents on the floor.  The second day went much better, and by the third day she was pretty much potty trained!  She got to have a M&M every time she peed in the potty, and would get two if she pooped in the potty.  It took her a little longer to poop in the potty, so I got her a little prize to motivate her a little more.  It worked really well, and after a week of pooping in the potty, she got her prize!  She is obsessed with Tangled right now, so she really wanted the Rapunzel doll!  I left it on top of the fridge so that she could see it everyday.  She was so happy when she earned it!  After about 3 weeks, she was even staying dry at night, so now she is fully potty trained!  She is very good about going in and going herself as well.  Also, just because I don't want to forget, she calls her underwear her nunders.  Haha I don't like saying panties, and have always just called them underwear, so she shortened it! Ha!  All in all, it was pretty easy and a good experience!  Yay for no more diapers!!
