A little PE fun!
School started on August 24th, but because of Covid, we had to start with virtual learning. Our mayor said that no one could start in person learning until after labor day. So, although it was not what we wanted, we tried to be positive and help them have a great first day of school. The first day was kind of a bust though! The whole system crashed before school even started, so we were scrambling trying to get on zoom calls from different links. It was not the smooth day that any of us imagined! Virtual learning is rough! Coordinating zoom calls all morning and making sure they did all of the work that was assigned was hard. It got a little easier each day, and Camden could do it pretty much by himself, but he didn't want to put any effort into anything and just wanted to watch TV or play video games during all of the breaks. It was hard for him to understand that it was still a school day, even though we are home. I had Camden set up at my desk in the front room and Sienna at the kitchen table. It worked out pretty well, but we can't wait for the day when we get to go back in person! Sienna was so excited for school, but by the second day she was asking me when all of her zoom calls would be over and that she doesn't like them. She asks me every day if she gets to go to school tomorrow! Poor girl! She is doing well, and loves her teacher, but virtual school is rough on the little ones! Despite all this, I know that they will have a great year and grow so much! Just trying to keep positive attitudes over here!
