Forcing this girl to take a nap!  She was soo tired by our last beach day that we made her take a little nap on the beach!  She tried to resist, but did end up falling asleep.

We went to Pensacola Beach in June and had the best time ever!  The beach really is our happy place, our kids LOVE it, and so do we!  We went with our friends, the Warren's and Otis', and it was just so much fun.  We were a little worried about the weather, a tropical storm had just hit the area, like a day or two before we got there, but it ended up being great!  We drove to Baton Rogue the first day, and drove by the temple for a quick picture before getting back on the road to Florida.  We rented a house that was on the beach, we only had to walk about 100 yards and we were at the beach.  It was perfect.  We spent most of our time just playing on the beach and in the ocean.  The first day the waves were pretty big, because of the storm, but each day it got calmer and calmer and more clear.  The sand is so soft and easy to dig in, so different than Texas beaches!  The kids loved burying each other and building sand castles.  Our house had a tiny pool...only the kids got in it, and a separate hot tub.  They would swim in the pool, then we would go to the beach, or we would beach first and then the pool.  Haha!  We did get some rain storms each day, but it always cleared up and we had plenty of sun!  The kids all got along really well and had fun playing together.  We did take one morning to try to go see the Blue Angles fly...air force planes that go out and practice tricks...but they weren't doing them the day we went.  But it was nice to get out and then we went to a fun restaurant for lunch on the water.  We did game nights, movie nights, smore's night, and just relaxed!  The beach was also really nice because we were on a private beach, only those who lived there could be there, so it wasn't crowded at all.  You could see further down the beach were the hotels were and all the people.  We drove straight home, so we got home late, but it was such a fun trip and hopefully we will be able to go back!
