Utah

So excited for his first plane ride!

Camden loved playing under this table!

I got some really great pics of Camden at a fun park we went to.

Sleeping at the Zoo!

Camden's new dog!

Love this picture of them looking at each other.  So cute!

Camden sneaked in Talon's chair when he wasn't looking!

For the record, we did not plan on wearing all black for the picture…totally random that we all just wore it that day!

May 28 - June 11, 2014

This is a REALLY long post of pics, but we had so much fun visiting Utah that I just had to add them all!  Camden and I got to spend 2 fun filled weeks in Utah this summer and it was so much fun to spend time with our family that we don't usually get to see.  Eric came for the first week, then he headed off to Chicago for work training meetings and then Michigan to visit family and friends for a few days.  We found a really great deal for Camden and I to fly nonstop from here to Utah, but unfortunately, because Eric was going to Chicago and Michigan, he didn't need a roundtrip ticket and we didn't get to be on the same flight.  So I was on my own with Camden for both flights and was a little nervous how he would do, but luckily the flight was during his nap time and he slept almost the whole way!  Phew!!  My flight was pretty full, and I think the lady next to me was thinking, great, I got stuck by the lady with a baby, but because Camden was so good she was really nice and sweet.  I'm pretty sure it would have been different had he not slept most of the way.  My dad picked us up at the airport and then we had to wait for about an hour for Eric's flight to come in.
We spent our time going to a splash pad, hanging out at a fun park for my nephew's birthday, shopping, going to the pool, eating at our favorite places and just hanging out with friends and family.  Eric has an uncle and aunt & uncle that live in Bountiful that we were able to visit, and we are really glad that we were able to especially visit his aunt because she recently found out that she had cancer in many parts of her body and passed away about a week ago.  So we are grateful that we were able to see her and have her meet Camden.
After Eric left we went to the Zoo, Ikea, more shopping, tried out Swig and Slurp (I can't have a DP unless it's dirty now!) visited my grandma, and just had so much fun hanging out.   So my grandma has to live in a home where they help take her of her, she has dementia, and doesn't really know who I am anymore, but she loved meeting Camden…all of the ladies there loved him.  Who doesn't love babies? :)  But it was kind of an adventure to see her…when we got there we couldn't find her anywhere.  The nurse we asked said she had seen her about 10 mins before with one of her friends and they said they were going home.  I assume they must tell them them a lot, because they didn't think anything of it.  Well, after 45 mins of trying to find them they had to call the police, because they were nowhere.  After about 3 hours an ambulance found them walking down state street in Lindon, which was a really far walk for 2 old ladies!  They were fine though, thankfully, and all my grandma was really worried about was if we had told her parents!  Haha!!  We told her no, but if it happened again, we would!  It was a pretty crazy Sunday afternoon, but I'm grateful that we were able to see her.
My flight home was at night, and when I got to the airport they told me that our flight wasn't full at all, so I had a whole row to myself.  They even told me to just take my car seat on the plane, which was nice, because I had somewhere to put Camden if he fell asleep.  My hope was that he would fall asleep,  and he didn't do as well as the flight to Utah, but he was still ok, and about half way through fell asleep until we got home.  Once we got out of the airport, it was midnight, but still 90 degrees outside and humid…Welcome back to Texas!!
It was so nice to be with family, we miss them and wish we could live closer to them all!  We had such a fun trip and can't wait until we get to see everyone again!  So come visit us!! :)
