On the car ride down. We had to take both cars, too many people and stuff to fit in one. So girls in one car and boys in the other. Both girls were good, they watched a movie, took a little nap and listened to music! Luckily it's only a 2 1/2 hour long drive.
Hanging out at the condo when we got there. They had to check everything out!
The kids room had two sets of bunk beds and a queen in the room. So Camden chose the top of the "boy" beds (the comforter was blue and green) and Sienna chose the bottom of the "girl" beds (pink and orange). Everly really thought that she was going to sleep right next to Sienna in her bed, but she had to move to her pack'n'play! She had fun pretending though!
They loved playing bocce ball! We found a soft ball version one, so the balls weren't as heavy. It was perfect for the beach!
Camden and Grandpa came in the store with me, so of course, we had to get their picture by the shark!
We got to spend four days at North Padre Beach with G&G Clark. We drove down on Sunday after church, had dinner, and then just hung out until bedtime. Then next morning we went and got groceries and then we were off to the beach! We were able to drive right onto the beach and park, so it was really easy to load and unload everything. It was really hot, but there was a little breeze that helped a little. The waves were good too, I wish we would have bought a boogie board to take, Camden would have loved it. But he had a lot of fun jumping and swimming around. He loves the beach and always just runs right into the water. Everly was pretty fearless, she loved walking right in to the waves and playing in the sand and water. Sienna is the cautious one, always wanted to hold hands, but she had a lot of fun and liked making sand castles. We hung out all afternoon at the beach. We played soccer, bocce ball, ate lunch and snacks, and just had a blast being on the beach. After the beach we went back to the condo and jumped in the pool...mostly just to get all the sand off! Ha! I didn't take any pictures at the pool, but the kids loved swimming in it.
That night we tried out a pizza place on the island for dinner. Then we had to check out a few of the stores, to get a hat for Everly. I brought her one, but then couldn't find it anywhere. Luckily I was able to buy one for her, and then when we got home from the beach I found her hat scrunched at the bottom of a pocket in the beach bag. So, basically it went to the beach with us everyday, I just couldn't find it! Haha! Oh well! The kids were exhausted by bed time and fell asleep pretty fast!
