On Tuesday most everyone went Rock Climbing in the morning. I stayed back with my mom, Sienna, Everly, and Chase since they weren't able to go rock climbing. We went to the store to pick up the last things we needed for Thanksgiving. I'm so proud of Camden for rock climbing, I was told that he cried and didn't want to do it, but then finally did it and cried a little more when he was out there, but he got up pretty high! He is afraid of heights, so I'm glad that he went and tried! After we met up with everyone at McDonald's for lunch and then went to downtown Gilbert for the Giving Machines. The kids loved picking stuff out to donate. At first they didn't understand and thought they were going to receive something, so we had to explain it to them. We gifted Uniforms for para athletes, Lunch for Preschoolers, and backpacks with school supplies. It was so neat to be able to do it. After we went and took our picture in front of the Gilbert wall!
That night Kaciann and Lexi watched all of the kids so that we could go out to dinner with just the adults. It was fun to go with everyone. We went to a Mexican restaurant and then got Crumbl cookies for dessert. We ended up at Target to grab a few items, and when we got home the girls had put our kids to bed for us. Everly had fallen asleep on the couch with Kaciann. So grateful that Kaci and Lexi are so wonderful and love spending time with their cousins. We miss having them by us!
On Wednesday we went on a little hike in the San Tan Mountains. Everly made me hold her the whole time, so my arm was basically dead by the end. Sienna got a ride from whoever she could. Haha! She had Kaciann holding her, Grandma gave her a piggy back ride, and I'm pretty sure at some point Eric held her too. Then she figured out the Gunnar had candy, so she willingly stayed by him and held his hand so that she could get more. Smart girl! The whole time I kept telling everyone to not step in all of the horse poop, and as soon as we got back in our car to leave I could smell that someone had stepped in it. So I made everyone check their shoes, and I was the one who ended up stepping in it! Ha! One shoe was really bad, so I had to get it all off before we could leave. It must have happened at the end when I wasn't paying as much attention. Dang! After the hike we met up with Eric's cousin, Justin and his wife, for lunch at Cafe Rio.
When we got back the kids swam in the hot tub/pool. It was too cold for me, but they loved it! That night we had a surprise 16th birthday party for Kaciann and 40th for Brittney! They were both so surprised! Another fun day!
