We did our Easter egg hunt the night before Easter. We just did it in our backyard, cause you know, quarantine life. But they still had a blast. We had them each get so many eggs and then one big egg that had a little money in it. They thought it was so fun! And of course, Everly immediately started eating her candy once we were done!
We had to set up the tripod to get our Easter Sunday pic!
They got their Easter baskets after we had church. We did an Easter lesson and went through the last week of the Savior's life. We also listened to the song, Risen, by Shawna Edwards. It is one of my favorite songs, and it was a little bittersweet because our Primary kids were learning it and they were going to sing it during Sacrament meeting on Easter. So hopefully someday when we get to go back to church they will be able to sing it. It is such a beautiful song!
After we went over to Eric's parents house to drop off some treats, and talk to them for a few minutes (while social distancing...of course). It was a really pretty day!
So this picture was my inspiration to make some bunny rolls, but subbing raspberry for cinnamon. My didn't turn out quite the same...
They look a little more like a mouse, I didn't get the ears right, but they still tasted yummy!
Our other treats for the day!
We finally got around to dyeing some eggs!
We ended our day with a little walk around the neighborhood and a FaceTime call to G&G Clark and Chelsey + Chase. Although we didn't get to go to church or get together with family, we still had a good day and we were able to really reflect on the Savior and the resurrection and why we celebrate Easter. We know that He lives and are grateful for the knowledge that we have of the gospel. I am so grateful for all that we have been blessed with, especially during these crazy times!
