Camden's last pictures from school. We are sad that we won't get to finish out the year! Stupid Covid-19!
Kite day was the last day that we had school. We had Spring Break the week after and then it was announced that we couldn't go back for at least two weeks because of COVID-19...which turned into no more school for the rest of this school year. Kite day ended up being a bust for us! Camden was so excited all week to do it. He picked out his kite that we bought from the school, and he would ask me every day if I was going to come. Well the day came and he wanted nothing to do with us! It was the perfect kite weather too! He didn't want me to help him or even stand by him. He was so upset that he couldn't get his kite to fly, but would not let me help him. Luckily some kids from the older grades were there to help out and he let a girl help him. He did get it to fly a little, but then it ripped and he was just feeling defeated. I felt bad, but couldn't do anything because he would run away from me if I got too close! Haha! I think he didn't want us there because of all of his friends that he plays with, I was the only Mom to come. So maybe he didn't think it was cool for me to be there. I guess I am already embarrassing....I didn't think it would start this early! So sad! Haha! I think the best part was the whole time I was trying to get some sort of pictures or videos, but he kept telling me to stop and he didn't want any. Well, later that night after I put him to bed, he came out and asked me if I got any pictures of him flying his kite and that he wanted to see them! Hahaha I guess he knew I would still sneak some. Crazy kid!
